Der Horizon Report 2009 ist erschienen und beleuchtet wie immer die neuesten Trends (manche sagen Hype, aber leider werden die recht oft zu schnell Realität) in der (Hochschul-) Bildungstechnologie (manche sagen: E-Learning).

Der neue Horizon Report ist da. Mit allen in Web1.0 und 2.0 zur Verfügung stehenden Mitteln wird er bearbeitet und präsentiert: sehenswert die Videopräsentation von Educause und das Wiki von NMC.

Aus den nun vorliegenden fünf Delphi Studien zur zukünftigen Entwicklung von Lerntechnologien werden diesmal “Metatrends” ausgemacht und diskutiert:

• the shifting of content production to users
• the evolution of a ubiquitous platform

In meiner Interpretation: neben der dafür notwendigen Technik ist vor allem der Antrieb die zunehmende Erkenntnis, dass Information etwas soziales ist. Vor dem Hintergrund der Brockhaus Entscheidung letzte Woche, nur noch online zu publizieren (also der Wikipedia das Feld zu überlassen) erstaunt die Einschätzung der Collective Intelligence als einer erst in fünf Jahren reifen Entwicklung. Auch die anderen “Time-to-Adoption” sind vergleichsweise konservativ gesehen. Könnte dies eine amerikanische Entwicklung sein und Europa holt auf?
