Christian Spließ (netbib) weist auf einen Artikel in Podcasting News , der berichtet, dass

Podcasts and portable media players are already being used by several schools in the UK and in the US as a tool for making lectures and other educational audio content available in a convenient format for students.

[und dass das ...] South Kent College in Dover has spent £25,000 on iPod nanos for 250 students in the hope they will listen to podcasts of lectures, as well as music.

Sein Kommentar: “Professoren, die ihre Vorlesungen als Podcast anbieten – hierzulande bräche die Revolution aus…” . Recht hat er! Nur: ganz so viel Revolution braucht es gar nicht mehr, es geht auch evolutionär: der distance learning Master in LIS an der HU macht das intern schon länger (allerdings ohne verschenktem iPod) und an einzelnen anderen Hochschulen vor allem im naturwissenschaftlichen und wirtschaftswissenschatlichen Bereich gibt es das auch. Lieber Herr Spieß: das Problem ist unsere Profession. Dort sitzt die einzige Ausnahme in Stuttgart: Capurro. Und: Revolutionen werden von unten gemacht – siehe Knowledgebay.
